World Book Day 5th March 2020

World Book day is nearly here!

Everyone is invited to come to school dressed as your favourite book character to celebrate how amazing books and reading are.

Check out the World Book Day website for some ideas:

https://www.worldbookday.com/dressing-up-ideas-2019/

To help us celebrate our love of reading and grow the breadth of books we have to share at Torridon we would also like to invite you to make a book donation to the school on World Book Day. Please bring in any preloved children’s books or you can donate through our wish list which can be found at the link below:

Special book shelves will be available in the playground on 5th March for you to place your donations.

Thank you on behalf of all the Torridon book lovers.

Flu season is back. All primary school children are now offered a nasal spray through the schools vaccination programme. Children are ‘super spreaders’ of flu. Flu vaccination not only protects the children but it also protects other more vulnerable members of the community from a potentially horrible illness. Emails and letters have gone out to parents in the borough this year asking them to give permission for their children to be vaccinated.

The schools flu vaccination programme will run through to January 2020.
